Priyanka Bajaria
I have been practicing in the field of mental health care for over eight years. During this time, I have worked in schools, colleges, and as an Independent therapist. I work with adults and couples.
I would like to highlight my values and belief systems as a therapist, and I hope they will help you determine if I am the right fit for you.
-
The work I do is rooted in, but not limited to, the relational approach which means I recognize that a strong therapeutic alliance, one that is built on empathy, authenticity, and mutual respect, is crucial for effective therapy outcomes. I integrate other relevant modalities that align with the client's needs to facilitate the therapeutic work. This flexibility allows me to tailor my approach and provide individualized support.
-
I am a queer-affirmative practitioner which means that I recognize and affirm the full range of sexual orientations and gender identities. I understand that all individuals may have unique experiences, challenges, and strengths, and I aspire to provide a non-judgmental and supportive space for them to explore their identities.
-
I am also a trauma-informed practitioner which means that I understand the pervasive impact of trauma and how it can shape a person's life. I am sensitive to the potential triggers and re-traumatization that may occur during therapy sessions. I incorporate trauma-informed approaches and interventions into my practice to support clients in their journey toward recovery and growth.
